Ella Automated ELISA

Ella is a next-generation benchtop automated ELISA platform designed to deliver accurate, reproducible data with no manual steps. Utilizing a unique microfluidic design, the Ella platform’s Simple Plex assays are fully validated, highly sensitive and achieve fast, accurate multiplexing results in less than 90 minutes.

Why we use it

• In brain, CSF, serum, plasma, saliva, microdialysate, and cell supernatants we can measure biomarkers and inflammatory molecules in humans and experimental animals

• The assays are very sensitive with a dynamic range >4 logs and require as little as 2.5 uL of sample. Aditionally, a pre-calibrated standard curve is build in, leading to increased accuracy and reproducibility

• Compared to other multiplex ELISA systems, Ella is automated which eliminates pipetting errors. Furthermore, no multianalyte cross reactivity occurs, as all analytes are physically separated into different microfluidic channels.

Equipment

• Ella next-generation benchtop automated ELISA platform, which pneumatically interfaces with the Simple Plex assay cartridges, with pre-loaded reagents

• Each fluidic channel contains glass nanoreactors coated with capture antibodies, providing build-in replicate measurements for each analyte. A build-in fluorescent detection system is used

Applications in Neuropsychiatry

• Examination of inflammatory molecules in brain, CSF and blood from experimental models

• Longitudinal development of inflammatory markers in patient groups. Due to the high lot-to-lot consistency and user-to-user consistency sample inclusion can span long time periods
