Betina Elfving receives funding from Simon Fougner Hartmanns Familiefond

Associate Professor Betina Elfving has received a grant from Simon Fougner Hartmanns Familiefond enabling procurement of the Nanostring nCounter machinery for biomarker studies within psychiatric disorders.

Initially, the Nanostring will be used for non-coding RNA profiling (microRNA and circular RNA) in Human Brain tissue from the Human Brain Collection previously stored in Aarhus, now in Odense.

Biomarker studies within rodent models of psychiatry are also being conducted.
