The Translational Neuropsychiatry Unit (TNU) has become the first laboratory at the Department of Clinical Medicine to receive a LEAF bronze certification.

The recognition is part of the LEAF pilot project launched at Health, which aims to reduce the climate footprint and promote a more sustainable laboratory culture.

"We are very happy and proud to have been part of this pilot project, which encouraged our research unit to rethink our everyday working habits and develop more sustainable routines," says Gülendam Sezer.

Representing both TNU and the Department of Clinical Medicine in the project’s Steering Committee, Gülendam Sezer has played a key role in guiding the unit through the evaluation process.

The success of the pilot project has now led to the decision to implement the LEAF certification across the entire university.
